NewamstarStarbloc is integrating four modules: bottle blowing, labeling, filling and capping, which can be applying to PET bottles sizing from 200ml to 2500ml. The capacity can reach 53,000BPH to meet the high-level production demand for different products, such as water, carbonated beverages, condiments and dairy products.

Higher integration and smaller footprint
Compared with the traditional single-machine production mode, NewamstarStarbloc has a higher integration level, saving much more space, requiring fewer operator. It can complete the SKU changeover quickly and it has a higher return on investment. The compact and efficient equipment combination of Starbloc not only reduces the space by 30%, but also makes it more friendly to operate, in which way only it requires one operator.

The capacity of a single cavity is up to 2,650BPH
The bottle-blowing system adopts a type of connecting rod mechanism with the tandem-combined movement of die frame and the bottom mold, forming a unique advantage.
It can precisely control the opening and closing movement of the die frame and the lifting movement of the bottom die, effectively reducing the vibration and impact of the mechanism, reducing the wear of parts, enhancing the stability and reliability of the blowing system, and improving the high-speed performance of the whole machine.
The design team utilizes the structure rigidity of the supporting parts, the lightweight of the rotary parts, and the local optimization of control unit motion methods called “Three Characteristics methods” to ensure the high speed running stability, decreasing the vibration and noise, increasing the control precision, keeping product reliability and ultimately to guarantee the highest single cavity capacity to reach up 2,650BPH.
Modular design, to meet the demand for different labels
Labeling machine adopts modular design. Rotary table, bottle conveying platform and labeling station have been designed into single module units, which can be combined in different ways to meet customized requirements for various bottle types, different labeling forms or combined labeling forms. The rotary bottle tray of the labeling machine adopts servo positioning mode, which can be used for accurate positioning for different bottle types by visual positioning, sensor positioning, and bottle bottom dent positioning. Labeling machine can be adapted to different labeling station modules – hot melt glue labeling station, self-adhesive labeling station and pre-coated glue labeling station.
The self-adhesive label station can achieve higher speed by adopting the form of dual label station with parity sticking method. The label adopts the automatic feeding method and is no need to reduce the speed or stop for the label changing, in which way the Starbloc and production is guaranteed to be uninterrupted and continuously.
As the pre-coated glue label is with glue itself, it can be directly stuck to the bottle by the label station, reducing the glue consumption. The pre-coated glue label station doesn’t need to be equipped with gluing system, heating device, and gluing roller, hence it greatly reduces the operational failure and energy consumption. For example, the glue spinning issue and the label-feeding roller sticky issue will not happen in this case, which saves the regular cleaning time for roller. It not only reduces the downtime, but also lowers the work intensity and skill requirements for operators. The pre-coated glue label is not required to maintain the temperature thus the label station can be shut down when production was suspended, saving the energy consumption. At the same time, the pre-coated glue is more environment friendly, there is no pollution caused by this type glue, in line with the national ‘green production & environmental protection’ requirement.
Newamstar applies its latest patent to pre-coated glue label – laser cutting technology, which is more convenient and reliable than blade cutting. Laser cutting has the advantages of high productivity, well sustainability, convenient maintenance and replacement, precise control on the label cut shape, no tilt, and low defective rate. Compared with the traditional blade cutting, laser cutting is with faster cutting speed, no blade consumption, free from blade adjustment, no risk to be dulling after use and the label cutting length is adjustable by parameter setting. It requires very few changeover parts for different bottle types. By adopting quick change modules, the operators can complete the SKU change in a very short time.
Directional-pressing cap, accurate in place
In recent years, the directional-pressing cap has become the favorite in the bottle cap field which has strict requirements on the opening direction, especially when the bottle is with grip. Newamstar developed a latest method for directional-press capping. It’s equipped with multiple visual inspection units inside the filler. With the computation of visual inspection and PLC on the bottle and cap transmission system, the servo control system is applied to the accurate positioning, ensuring the sealing precision between the cap and bottle, match the direction of bottle and cap, easily meeting various customized demands.
Full-servo flexible control for production
Starbloc adopts full-servo synchronous control system. All the rollers and rotating plates are equipped with independent servo motors that can run synchronously or independently with high flexibility and convenience for operation and maintenance. The mechanical structure is greatly simplified by the full-servo synchronous system. Compared with pulley transmission, there is no concern of gear errors and the maintenance time is shortened greatly. At the same time, the bottle transmission is more accurate.
The stretching part of the bottle blowing machine adopts servo drive scheme and the speed and range of stretching can be precisely controlled by servo drive. It makes the process of blowing more convenient to adjust, even during production we can also do online adjustment. When changing the SKU, it can be changed the recipe simply, simplifying parameters adjustment and saving the time.
